Getting started
How do I plan something?
Tap the microphone and say it the way you’d tell a friend — “Remind me tomorrow at 9 to call Sarah.” PlansAid saves it, tells you when it will remind you, and asks “Anything else?”. Say “No” or “That’s all” to finish. You can also tap Type Instead, or add a task by hand.
Which languages does PlansAid speak?
English, Kiswahili, Spanish, French, Portuguese, German and Italian. Change the language and choose a female or male voice in Settings → Language and Assistant voice. The whole app switches immediately.
Why does PlansAid ask for permission to use AI services?
To understand what you say or type, and to speak back in a natural voice, PlansAid sends your words through its server to OpenAI and ElevenLabs. It asks first. If you choose “Not now”, you can still add tasks by hand, and PlansAid uses your iPhone’s built-in voice. Change this anytime in Settings → Privacy. See the Privacy Policy.
Reminders and alarms
What’s the difference between Standard and Alarm?
Standard reminders notify you once. Alarm reminders ring until you tap Stop or Snooze — even in Silent mode or a Focus — like the Clock app. Choose a default in Settings → Alert style, or change it on any reminder. Alarms need iOS 26 or later and your permission to set alarms.
Can PlansAid say my reminder out loud?
Yes. In Settings → Reminder alerts choose Voice (“Time to go to Walmart.”), Sound & Vibration, or Notification only. You’ll always see the notification too.
I didn’t hear a reminder.
Standard reminders follow your iPhone’s sound settings: in Silent mode or a Focus, iOS keeps them quiet. Check Settings → Notifications → PlansAid is allowed, and that your ringer volume is up. For reminders you must not miss, use Alarm.
How do I snooze or stop an alarm?
Tap Stop to finish this alarm, or Snooze to hear it again after 5, 10 or 15 minutes (set in Settings → Alert style). Stopping a repeating alarm keeps the next one.
Do reminders work without the internet?
Yes. Once saved, reminders and alarms are scheduled on your iPhone and work offline, even if PlansAid is closed.
Permissions
PlansAid can’t hear me.
Open your iPhone’s Settings → PlansAid and turn on Microphone and Speech Recognition. PlansAid only listens after you tap the microphone.
Why does PlansAid ask for my calendar?
Only to add plans you confirm to your calendar. It never reads your existing events. Calendar access is optional.
Your data
Where are my plans stored?
On your iPhone. There’s no account and no PlansAid cloud sync. Like other app data, your plans can be included in your iPhone’s backups (for example, iCloud Backup). Deleting PlansAid removes them from your iPhone.
How do I delete everything?
In PlansAid, go to Settings → Clear all tasks, or delete the app. We don’t keep a copy of your plans.
