Privacy Policy
Effective October 20, 2026
PlansAid is a voice-first planner. Your plans live on your iPhone. Some features use AI services to understand what you say or type and to speak back to you, and PlansAid asks your permission before using them.
- No account, no ads, no tracking, and we never sell your data.
- Your plans, reminders and settings are stored on your iPhone, not on our servers.
- With your permission, what you say or type is sent through our server to OpenAI so it can be turned into a plan, and to ElevenLabs for spoken replies, spoken reminders and Kiswahili speech recognition.
- Our server doesn’t keep what you say or type. You can withdraw permission anytime in Settings → Privacy.
Who we are
PlansAid is provided by PAMSAM ENTERPRISES LLC (“we”, “us”), based in Texas, United States. If you have a question about this policy or your data, contact us at support@plansaid.com.
What stays on your iPhone
Everything you plan with PlansAid is stored only on your device:
- Your tasks, reminders, notes, repeat rules and alarm choices.
- Your settings, such as language, voice, reminder alerts and default reminder behaviour.
- Recently entered phrases, so you can reuse them.
- Short spoken-reminder sounds prepared for upcoming reminders. These are removed automatically when they are no longer needed.
We have no account system and no copy of this information. If you delete PlansAid, or use Settings → Clear all tasks, it is removed from your device. Like other app data, it may be included in your iPhone’s own backups (for example, iCloud Backup), which Apple manages for you.
When you speak to PlansAid
PlansAid only uses the microphone after you tap the microphone button. The microphone indicator shows when it is on, and it turns off by itself after a short pause. PlansAid never listens in the background.
- English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, German and Italian: your speech is turned into text by Apple’s speech recognition. Apple may do this on your device or on its own servers, under Apple’s privacy policy.
- Kiswahili: PlansAid uses a dedicated speech service for Kiswahili. With your permission, a short recording of what you said is sent through our server to ElevenLabs to be turned into text.
AI features and your permission
The first time you speak or type a plan, PlansAid explains these services and asks your permission. If you agree:
| What is sent | To | Why |
|---|---|---|
| The text of what you said or typed, your device’s current date, time, time zone and app language | Our server, then OpenAI | To work out the task, day and time, and turn it into a plan for you to review |
| The words PlansAid speaks, which can include a reminder’s title (for example, “Time to go to Walmart.”) | Our server, then ElevenLabs | To create the spoken reply or spoken reminder in the voice you chose |
| A short recording of your voice (Kiswahili only) | Our server, then ElevenLabs | To turn Kiswahili speech into text |
If you choose “Not now”, or turn off “AI planning and voice” in Settings → Privacy, none of this is sent. You can still add and edit tasks by hand, typed English plans are worked out on your iPhone, and PlansAid uses your iPhone’s built-in voice.
These services are used only to provide PlansAid’s features — never for advertising, profiling or tracking.
Our server
PlansAid’s server passes requests between the app and the services above. It is hosted by Vercel and connects only over encrypted HTTPS.
- It does not store what you say or type, your recordings, or the audio it returns.
- It records only technical details needed to run the service, such as the length of a request, how long it took, and whether it succeeded — never its content.
- Your IP address is used briefly, in memory, to stop excessive requests (rate limiting). Like any website, our hosting provider may keep standard request logs, including IP addresses, for a limited time for security and reliability.
Service providers
We use the following providers to run PlansAid. Each processes data under its own terms and privacy policy:
- OpenAI — understanding plans. OpenAI Privacy Policy. Under OpenAI’s API data policy, data sent through its API is not used to train its models by default and may be kept for a limited time to detect abuse.
- ElevenLabs — spoken replies, spoken reminders and Kiswahili speech recognition. ElevenLabs Privacy Policy.
- Vercel — hosting for our server. Vercel Privacy Policy.
- Apple — speech recognition (except Kiswahili), notifications, alarms and calendar, all through iOS. Apple Privacy Policy.
These providers may process data in the United States and other countries.
Calendar, notifications and alarms
- Calendar: if you allow it, PlansAid only adds the plans you confirm to your calendar. It never reads your existing events.
- Notifications and alarms: reminders and alarms are scheduled on your iPhone by iOS and work without an internet connection. If you use spoken reminders with AI permission on, each reminder’s spoken sentence is created once when you save it, as described above; otherwise nothing about your reminders leaves your iPhone.
What we don’t do
- We don’t require an account or collect your name, email address, contacts or location.
- We don’t use analytics or advertising SDKs, and we don’t track you across apps or websites.
- We don’t sell or share your personal information for advertising.
Your choices
- Withdraw or give permission for AI features: PlansAid → Settings → Privacy → “AI planning and voice”.
- Turn off the microphone, speech recognition, notifications, calendar or alarms for PlansAid in your iPhone’s Settings app.
- Delete your data: Settings → Clear all tasks in PlansAid, or delete the app.
Because we don’t keep your plans or recordings, there is no copy on our side for us to access or delete. Depending on where you live (for example, in the EU, UK or California), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data and to withdraw consent. Contact us at support@plansaid.com and we will help, including with requests about data held by our providers.
Children
PlansAid is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
Data sent by PlansAid travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Information stored on your iPhone is protected by iOS.
Changes to this policy
If we change how PlansAid handles data, we will update this page and its effective date, and ask for your permission again in the app where required.
